South Korean Fully Funded KAIST Scholarships 2023-2024 for Masters and PhD

If you lack IELTS, you may submit an English Proficiency Certificate from your university. At KAIST University, all courses will be taught in English.

KAIST University offers 3 Types of Scholarships. Applicants can select and apply for any Scholarship during the admission application for KAIST.

KAIST International Student Scholarship (KAIST Scholarship)

1. Tuition Exemption for 4 Semesters (MS) / 8 Semesters (BS) (PhD)
2. Monthly living expenses: 350,000 KRW (for MS) or 400,000 KRW (for non-MS) (for PhD)
3. Medical Protection
4. A stipend may be available for research assistants.

GKS Scholarship at KAIST (Global Korea Scholarship)

GKS is a Korean Government Scholarship for International Students that covers the following areas:

1. Round-trip Airfare
2. Allowance for Relocation (KRW 200,000)
3. Allowance for Living (KRW 900,000)
4. Medical Protection (KRW 20,000)
5. Language Training
6. Tuition in its entirety
7. Excellent Korean Language Proficiency Award

Entry Requirements

The following students are eligible for the KAIST Masters and PhD Scholarships:

1. A candidate must not be of Korean origin.
2. International students of all nationalities are encouraged to apply.
3. A bachelor's degree is required for admission to the master's degree programme.
4. A candidate for the doctoral degree programme must have a bachelor's or master's degree.
