The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) is an autonomous organisation established in Italy at The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). It is the first worldwide event to spotlight women scientists from the developing and developed countries in scientific and technical sectors, and it is a UNESCO programme unit.
OWSD helps women with research training, network growth, and networking opportunities. They assist fellows in creating an atmosphere at their universities that adheres to international research norms. Fellows will also make new relationships with researchers all across the world, enticing possible sponsors to support the project's long-term viability. They will conduct their research in one of the approved nations. Candidates must also show proof that they have spent a significant period in that country.
Furthermore, OWSD fellows will learn how to efficiently translate their research into marketable products. Candidates will gain communication and outreach skills during this fellowship in Europe, allowing them to have a larger impact. The UNESCO fellowship is a fantastic opportunity for women who aspire to make a difference in the world via study. The application date for this fellowship is September 19, 2022.
