BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
In the Autumn semester 2023, the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), a new scholarship programme that replaces the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS), will offer scholarships to a large number of master's programmes at Swedish universities.
The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals aims to develop future global leaders who will contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to positive and sustainable development in their home countries and region.

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:
- The scholarship pays for full tuition, living costs of SEK 11,000 per month, insurance, and a one-time travel award of SEK 11,000-15,000 (depending on the country) (only for scholarship holders living outside Sweden).
- The scholarship is only available for full-time one-year or two-year master's programmes that begin in the autumn semester.
- There are no extra awards available to family members. It also does not cover the University Admissions application fee.
ELIGIBILITY:
To be eligible for SISGP, you must:
- You must be a citizen of one of the countries eligible for SI scholarships (see above). However, you are not need to be a resident of the nation at the time of application.
- You must have at least 3,000 hours of documented job experience. Furthermore, you must have shown leadership experience from your current or past employment, as well as through civic participation.
- You must be responsible to pay tuition fees to Swedish institutions, have completed the University Admissions process, and have been admitted to one of the qualifying master's programmes before March 30, 2023.
- The master's programmes for which you apply must be SI-eligible. Depending on the topic area, the institution prioritises programmes within that subject area.
- Other requirements include dual citizenship, prior residence and studies in Sweden, and more. Read the full eligibility criteria on the official website.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
- To begin, apply for a master's programme by 16 January 2023 at universityadmissions.se. After submitting your application for master's programme(s) at universityadmissions.se, you will be assigned an eight-digit personal application number. You will need this number when applying for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals.
- You can apply for a SI scholarship once you have finished your application to a master's programme. From 10 February 00:01 until 28 February 2023 14:59 CET, you must digitally submit the required documents through the online application portal.
