Scholarship amount and duration:
- A Master Mind Scholarship provides a €9,600 scholarship as well as a tuition price remission for one academic year. Holders of the Master Mind Scholarship pay just an administrative enrolling fee. The Flemish Host Institution may require the applicant to pay a tuition charge equal to the lowest rate of the yearly tuition cost for a student receiving a Flemish government study grant. For the academic year 2023-2024, the rate is €128,80.
- Mobility lasts one academic year for a Master programme of 60 ECTS and two academic years for a programme of 120 ECTS.
Eligibility:
- The applicant applies to study for a Master's degree at a higher education institution in Flanders (hereinafter referred to as the "Flemish host institution").
- The candidate should have a strong academic record and/or promise. The student has a 3.5 GPA out of a possible 4.0.
- The student is fluent in the English language (please check the official website for the specific requirements)
- To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must be accepted by the Host school. This criterion applies even if the Host institution's decision to admit the student is made after the Master Mind Scholarships programme is chosen.
- Only one Flemish higher education institution may suggest the candidate. If the candidate is preselected by more than one Flemish higher education institution, he or she must pick one to submit his or her application to the Mobility Online service.
- All nationalities, with the exception of Russian, are eligible to apply. The preceding degree should have been received from a higher education institution situated outside of Flanders.
- Students who are currently enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution are not eligible to apply.
Instructions for use:
- Students are unable to apply directly. Your application must be submitted to the host institution.
- The qualifying applicants are pre-selected by the host institution; the application must be filed online by the Flemish host institution. The application deadline is April 28, 2023 at 23:59 GMT+1.
- The internal dates imposed by the Flemish Host Institution vary and fall between 1 February and 6 April 2023.
