The University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers competitive UNIL Master's Grants to international students wishing to pursue a Masters Degree at the University.

Scholarship amount and duration:
The scholarship is awarded for the minimum statutory length of the student's chosen program. With the exception of cases of decisive failure after the first year, it amounts to CHF 1,600 each month from 15 September to 15 July (or 10 months per year) for the entire term of the masters (one and a half years or two years depending on the chosen masters).
Scholarship recipients will be excluded from the set registration fees for the courses, with the exception of the CHF 80.00 fees that must be paid each semester.
Eligibility:
- To have completed a foreign university degree considered equal to a bachelor's degree at UNIL prior to the start of the master's program at UNIL.
- To have distinguished yourself during your education, notably via outstanding academic performance.
- To have a language level of at least C1 in French (according to the European Language Portfolio worldwide scale) or at least C1 in English (depending on the language in which your selected master's is taught).
- Not having previously registered with UNIL.
- Payment of the CHF 200.00 administration charge (see document, "list of documents to attach to your application").
Instructions for use:
- The Masters Scholarship application form also functions as an application for ADMISSION to the chosen Master's program (and thus as a matriculation form at UNIL): you do not need to apply for the master's degree at UNIL's Admission Office (SII).Candidates for the Masters Scholarship must apply online and upload their complete application file in PDF (not by email).
- The deadline for applications is 1 November (post mark) to commence a master's degree the next academic year, in the fall semester or, if the program allows, in the spring semester.
