Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarships 2024-2025 Fully Funded Scholarships for Masters and Post Doctorates

 


Apply for the Scholarship while studying in Ireland. Applications for the Ireland Government Postgraduate Scholarship 2024 are now open. The Irish Research Council (IRC) manages the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme, which is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science. All disciplines are eligible for the Irish scholarship.

The Irish Council awards 280 new postgraduate scholarships in Ireland universities each year. This program includes renowned Irish universities such as Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, and the Royal Irish Academy. Both international applicants and Irish nationals are eligible. The Scholarship is available for Master's, Doctoral (Ph.D.), and post-doctoral studies in any discipline. Degree Type and Duration 

A new applicant to the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship program is entitled to apply for financing for the entire course of the degree, as described below.

Benefits

The total scholarship value is up to €28,000 per year.
  1. Selected students will be paid €19,000 per year.
  2. The scholarship pays the entire tuition fee.
  3. The student will get €3,250 in research expenses per year.
  4. The candidates will be able to study at some of the world's top universities in Ireland.
  5. The scholarship also covers costs, including non-EU fees, up to a maximum of €5,750 each year.

Eligibility 

The award is open to all applicants from all nations, including Irish students.
  1. There are no age restrictions.
  2. Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree.
  3. The candidate must be conversant in English. IELTS/TOEFL are not required by the Irish Research Council. However, check with the Irish Institute to see if they require it.
