Scholarship amount and duration:
The scholarship amount ranges from € 3,000 to € 22,000 for one year. In the case of a two-year study program, students who complete the UTS process requirements might get an additional UTS in the amount of the first year.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for a UTS, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Applying for a UT scholarship is a distinct process from applying for a course at the University of Twente. Regardless of financing, you must first get an acceptance letter.
- You have been (provisionally) accepted to one of the qualifying UT Master programs beginning in September 2024/2025. Please keep in mind that it may take up to 8 weeks to obtain your results after submitting your application.
- You must have a student identification number.
- You have not completed a UT graduate program;
- You meet the requirements for getting a visa to enter the Netherlands (if applicable);
- You meet the requirements for getting a visa to enter the Netherlands (if applicable);
- You have passed the general English language test. Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT 90) and an extra 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the speaking skills subscore
- You do not qualify for a Dutch student loan.
- The University Twente Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students. Typically, this signifies that you are among the top 5 to 10% of your class.
Instructions for use:
- Applications will be accepted until October 15, 2023.
- You must first apply for a Master's program. You can apply for the scholarship using your student number after applying for a Master's course and receiving a (conditional) acceptance letter. Round 1 applications, which start on 15 October 2023, have a deadline of 1 February 2024, while Round 2 applications, which open on 1 February 2024, have a deadline of 1 May 2024.
