The Ampère Scholarships of Excellence provide outstanding overseas students the chance to study one of the approved Masters programs at ENS de Lyon.

Level of education and field(s) of study:
- All Master's Degree degrees at ENS de Lyon in Exact Sciences, Arts, or Human and Social Sciences (excluding FEADép Master's degrees).
- ENS de Lyon additionally provides the GRADUATE + Scholarship (1,000€ per month for ten months) to the top foreign students chosen for a Master's degree in the following Graduate initiatives and Master's courses, either in M1 or M2:

- DynLifeSys (Multiscale Dynamics of Living Systems): Biosciences and Biosciences for Complex System Modeling
- MathInfi (Mathematics, computer science foundations, and interactions): application page
- PACE (Physics, Astro, Chemistry, Earth) – M2 only : Physics & chemistry, Sciences of earth, planets and environment, Synthèse Organique et Chimie des Molécules Bioactives, Ocean, Atmospheric and Climate Sciences : M2 Ocean, M2 Atmosphere, Optics and Phototonics, Cosmology.
Scholarship amount and duration:
- For one year, the scholarship is worth €1,000 per month. It is renewable in the second year if the candidate is chosen by the Masters program director and verifies the Masters Year 1.
Eligibility:
- To apply for the first year of a Master's program (M1), applicants must demonstrate that they have an L3 degree (Bachelor - 180 ECTS) or an equivalent level if they have studied abroad.
- To apply for the second year of a Master's program (M2), applicants must demonstrate that they have an M1 degree (240 ECTS) or an equivalent level if they have studied abroad.
