Shandong University is a top-tier university located in Jinan, Shandong Province. The applications are open to apply for the Shandong University Scholarship 2024 for international students. The purpose of the SDU Scholarship is to financially support new international students to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degree programs. Founded in 1901. It is one of the first universities established in modern China.
The university offers more than 80 undergraduate programs, 200 master's degrees, and 100 doctoral programs. Applicants who have completed previous education at an English-medium institute are not required to provide IELTS/TOEFL scores. Please see the application process and financial rewards.
SDU Scholarship Benefits:
There are two categories of scholarships: full and partial.
- Full scholarship includes tuition and living allowance.
- Accommodation and comprehensive health insurance
- Partial scholarships cover tuition and comprehensive medical insurance.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must not be Chinese citizens.
- Must be in good health.
- When applying to Bachelor's degrees, you must have completed your secondary education.
- To apply for master's programs, you must have a bachelor's degree.
- To apply for doctoral programs, you must have a bachelor's or master's degree.
- When applying to bachelor's degrees, you must be under the age of 25.
- When applying to Master's programs, you must be under 35 years old.
- When applying for doctoral programs, you should be under the age of 40.
- Applicants cannot be awarded any other Chinese government-funded scholarship while receiving the SDU Scholarship.
English language requirements
- Applicants who speak English as their native language are not required to provide English language certification.
- Applicants whose first language is not English must submit the results of the IELTS (6.0 or higher), TOEFL (80 points or higher, SDU's DI code: C296), MyBest Scores (80 points or higher), Essentials test (8 points or higher), or other equivalent credentials of English proficiency.
- Applicants who received their highest degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction are not required to provide IELTS/TOEFL scores, but must submit a letter of proof signed and stamped by the administering institution stating that the entire program was delivered in English.
