I am referring to the University of Genova Scholarship in Italy for the school year 2024-25. The University of Genoa, or UniGe, is one of Italy's largest and most prominent universities, located in the picturesque city of Genoa.

You will receive a scholarship worth 6656 euros per year. This grant is for international students who wish to pursue a master's degree program. You may apply for up to TWO courses delivered in English. ONLY for non-EU students residing overseas. The required paperwork are really basic. However, it requires one additional document, which is a CV. So you'll need to create a Europass CV format. More information about the application process is provided below.

Required Documents
  1. Valid identification document (passport or ID card).
  2. Europass CV
  3. Bachelor's degree: final certificate, provisional, or letter from the university stating the projected graduation date.
  4. Transcript of records.
  5. English proficiency certificate or certificate indicating that English was the medium of instruction for the Bachelor's degree.
Application process
This is the pre-assessment procedure for students applying for visas. The steps are provided below.
  1. Sign up to create UniGe credentials (username and password).
  2. After you've created your credentials, submit your application through the UniGe Apply portal.
  3. The pre-assessment phase is required for students from non-European countries.
  4. Remember to save every page in the application.
Pre-assessment results
During the pre-assessment phase, they will review your profile and papers. You will be notified by email. You will find your application in one of the following states:
  1. Accepted: You passed the pre-selection and are now eligible to participate in the course. This receipt replaces the letter of acceptance that is no longer required by the Embassy/Consulate.
  2. Conditionally Accepted: You do not meet some of the curricular requirements for enrollment.
  3. Rejected: You do not meet the course requirements.
