The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan are happy to announce the "Heydar Aliyev" Azerbaijan Government Scholarship 2024-2025. This Higher Education Scholarship will be available to 100 individuals for five years. This scholarship program allows you to study at Azerbaijan's finest universities and pursue preparatory courses as well as undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, and general medicine/medical residency programs.
The Azerbaijani government will fully sponsor this scholarship. All overseas students will receive international flight tickets, housing, full tuition, medical insurance, a monthly allowance, visa, and a temporary residence permit. Applicants from any academic field may apply. IELTS is not required if you can show documentation that you finished your previous education in English medium.
Scholarship Duration:
- Bachelors: 4-5 Years
- General Medicine: 5-6 Years
- Masters Program: 1.5-2 Years
- Medical Residency Program: 2-5 Years
- PhD: 3 Years
Scholarship Benefits:
The "Heydar Aliyev - International Education Grant Program" is for the academic year 2024-2025. The scholarship covers the following:
- Tuition fees
- A monthly stipend of 470 USD covers living expenses, accommodations, and educational materials. Medical insurance costs 117 USD.
- Visa and registration fees
- Round-trip Airfare Travel tickets will be provided.
Eligibility criteria:
- Citizens of Azerbaijan are not eligible.
- Undergraduate and General Medicine programs have an age limit of 35 years.
- The Graduate and Medical Residency programs have an age limit of 40 years.
- The age limit for pursuing a PhD is 45.
Requirements:
- Completed Nomination Form (this is the first step in the application process)
- Previous transcripts, degrees, diplomas, and school certifications.
- A copy of the medical certificate (with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B/C tests);
- Copy of a valid passport.
- CV or resume.
- Proof of English language proficiency, motivation letter, and achievements/awards.
