YSEALI PFP 2025 Themes
The fellowship is offered under four main themes. The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program provides leadership and professional development opportunities in these areas:
- Civic Engagement
- Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Empowerment
- Society and Governance
- Sustainability and the Environment
Applicants will need to choose their preferred theme when filling out the online application. Not sure which theme is right for you? Here’s a breakdown:
1. Civic Engagement
This theme is for fellows working in non-profits, community building, advocacy, education, media, law, healthcare, youth work, or social justice.
2. Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Empowerment
This theme is ideal for those involved in developing small and medium businesses, business administration, business education, economic policy, social entrepreneurship, or community training.
3. Society and Governance
This theme supports professionals engaged in lawmaking, governance at local or national levels, public administration, policy-making, budget management, political campaigns, public health services, public-private partnerships, public safety, urban planning, or legal reform.
4. Sustainability and the Environment
This theme is for those focused on food and water security, public health, ecotourism, sustainable agriculture, energy, housing, disaster response, natural resource conservation, or waste management.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a citizen and resident of one of the following Southeast Asian countries: Burma, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, Philippines, Timor Leste, Thailand, or Vietnam.
- You should be an emerging leader in government, non-profit organizations, or businesses with relevant experience in the area you want to apply for.
- You need to have at least two years of work experience in a related field.
- You must be between 25 and 35 years old.
- You should be able to work well with people from different cultures.
- You should have a project idea you want to implement at your job or in your community.
- You need to have strong English speaking and writing skills.
- You should be a good leader and a team player.

How to Apply for the YSEALI Professional Fellows Program 2025?
The application for YSEALI PFP 2025 is now open until October 17! To apply, you need to complete the online application, which can be accessed through the AIS Forms portal.
